2012 was a great year for Smoke Screen. The Ice Cold Water EP was released (accompanied by the stellar music videos by Turnstyle Films for Ice Cold Water and Smoke & Lasers and followed by the Smoke & Lasers Remix EP) and was nominated for Album Of The Year in the Ohio Hip Hop Awards. Along with an additional nomination for Group Of The Year, they also did shows with Girl Talk, The Polish Ambassador, K.Flay, roeVy, and played the Main Stage at the 2012 Ingenuity Festival.

In our 3rd video for Cleveland hip-hop duo Smoke Screen we wanted to step up our game. September is the 1 year anniversary of the first video we ever worked on with them. It’s crazy to think that it’s only been a year. In this story, the guys build a time machine in their garage and unlock a door to the future. Not everything goes well though and the guys may be in over their heads on this one.

Anyone who didn’t attend this Ingenuity Fest Sept. 14-16 possibly missed the best party Cleveland had to offer this year.

The celebration of music, art and technology, hosted at Warehouse 30 & 32 on the downtown docks in the shadows of Cleveland Brown’s Stadium and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, boasted more than 50 bands, art displays, interactive exhibits and futuristic performance art.

Kudos to the organizers on the spot swap. The post-industrial warehouses presented an atmosphere to let loose with plenty of open space.
